VikingGenetics are developing a 3D camera-based solution to make individual feed intake records on cows in commercial farms and we are looking for the right person to do data surveillance and have contact with the farmers with the installed equipment. 

Do you burn for contact to dairy farmers and use of newest technology in practice - Your main tasks will be:

• Day-to-day interaction with farmers, ensuring seamless procedures, installing, and maintaining equipment, and overseeing data surveillance from our innovative "Cattle Feed Intake - CFIT" system. 

• On daily basis run quality assurance on barns and CFIT data, leveraging website and IT tools for monitoring and supervision. 

• Calibration of IT components in new barns and re-calibration of existing ones will also be part of your responsibilities. 

• Participate in new CFIT installations in Denmark and abroad.  

• To handle ad-hoc issues with efficiency, implementing solutions when required, and ensure quality assurance in new barn installations. 

• Managing and updating the CFIT QA system, along with enforcing procedures and maintaining documentation and control, will be essential.

You will mainly work together with our current CFIT Technician and the rest of the CFIT team and farmers but also external and internal partners. The main office is in Assentoft, close to Randers.

Your qualifications:

• Your educational background may vary; you could be an agricultural technician or in a related field, from development, construction, and installation of technical equipment. It is important that you are familiar with being around cows. 

• Strong interest and expertise in precision livestock farming, including sensor-based registrations and image analysis.

• Technical proficiency in IT, networking, and computer hardware is required.

• Data handling skills, including protocol procedures, are necessary.

• Excellent social skills and ability to navigate cultural differences are valuable assets for this role with  many international interactions. 25 – 40 travel days a year must be expected.

• Fluency in oral German and English as well as written English is preferred.

• A valid driver's license is essential.
